The first poster for the London-set revenge thriller The Foreigner  was  revealed last month at the Berlin Film Festival. A polished smoother version of the image is now being used for the first official poster and official artwork for the film. The Foreigner, which will be released later this year, is directed by Martin Campbell (GoldenEye) and starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan.  The posters shows a bruised and distressed Chan who plays Quan, a restaurant owner who loses his wife and daughter in a terrorist attack. Brosnan plays playing Liam Hennessy, a Gerry Adams type politician with links to the rogue Irish terrorists responsible. The film is based on author Stephen Leather’s 1992 novel The Chinaman and sees Chan showing more of a darker and dramatic side as a man seeking revenge after the law fails help him.

Below is a photograph that was Geekingly taken, this time last year, when the cast and crew were filming on the streets of London to the surprise of local businesses, residents and pedestrians passing by.

The Foreigner is scheduled for release in China on 1st October 2017, France on 11th October 2017 and in America on 13th October 2017. More release dates are to be confirmed.
