So here we are another Transformers movie directed by Michael Bay. Sorry for my lack of enthusiasm and negativity but I’m not a fan. I only enjoyed the first movie, and since then I think they should of just stopped. The trailers are always very well done, but when it comes to the actual movies they always seem to be a mess. So Optimus Prime is evil? That big giant planet thing could be Unicron? And the fate of the world is Sir Anthony Hopkins and Mark Wahlberg? Sorry I’m not sold on this!
After Transformers: Age of Extinction I was hoping that Hasbro and Paramount Pictures would go for a reboot with a different director. Don’t get me wrong I’m sure this film will do well commercially in the first week but they really do need to go back to drawing board with this franchise even if there are plans for a 6th movie and a Bubblebee spin-off.
Here’s the official synopsis for Transformers: The Last Knight:
The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).
There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.
Transformers: The Last Knight is released on 23rd June 2017
